tue. 05. DEC. − sun. 10. DEC. 2000 ART WAD'S, Shibuya We, as members of the organizers, planned the exhibition and were in charge of public relations and exhibiting plan, then showed our works. This project had started in December 1999, when we, snowdome-lovers who had met on the Internet, first got together off the net. The visitors seemed to be enjoying, reading the comments of the owners (or artists), appreciating carefully with the snowdomes in their hands. There were some impressive visitors, who enjoyed the snowdomes for over half an hour or came to the exhibition several times during the term. Having enphasized on public relations from direct mails to magazines and TV programs, we had about 650 visitors for six days. We are proud that we could spread "the wonderfulness of snowdomes" as much as possible. |

Preparation-planning
1. Four in the five organizers stayed together for a night in mid-July. And there, the outline was laid out. "We want to spread the wonderfulness of snowdomes." "Visitors can touch the snowdome works." "The space would be nice and neat like in a museum." 2. After a week we made the exhibition plan and started preparing to raise participants. We made a homepage for it, a model of the place and a mock-up of a display shelf. The exhibition was getting ready. 3. The picture (up) showed a look of the first meeting for the participants. To raise and contact with the participants, we used the Internet. But we had several meetings for them to get to know each other. And we aimed to make the exhibition with all the participants, so painting the shelves, sending the invitations, naming the exhibition and writing an article of snowdome history...were done by both the organizers and the participants. 4. We also made use of the homepage in public relations and offering the information to the media. |
